S. Mohan

Holding postgraduate qualifications in Science and Business Administration, along with professional certifications including CAIIB and Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Mr. Mohan has held several leadership positions within State Bank of India, including Assistant General Manager – Consultancy Services Cell, Assistant General Manager – SME Branch, Guindy, Chief Manager – SME Branch, Coimbatore, and Assistant General Manager – e-Dealer Finance at SBI Corporate Centre, Mumbai.

His association with the Consultancy Services Cell spans multiple tenures over nearly two decades, during which he conducted and supervised over 300 Techno-Economic Viability studies across industries including textiles, manufacturing, renewable energy, food processing, plastics, healthcare, infrastructure, and education.

A recognised expert in renewable energy project evaluation, Mr. Mohan played a key role in assessing more than 100 grid-connected solar power projects under various financing schemes, including World Bank-supported initiatives. He has also represented SBI in strategic industry discussions, including engagements with the Government of Tamil Nadu on renewable energy and ethanol blending programmes.

Throughout his career, he has worked closely with businesses ranging from MSMEs to large corporates, helping structure funding solutions and evaluate projects exceeding ₹1,300 crore in aggregate value during his final tenure at SBI. At IBS Associates, he advises clients on project feasibility, funding strategy, loan structuring, TEV studies, and business expansion planning, drawing upon decades of practical banking experience.
