Saravanan K

A qualified engineer with a B.E. and M.Tech degree, and a certified CAIIB professional, Mr. Saravanan spent a significant part of his career at the Consultancy Services Cell (CSC), SME Business Unit, State Bank of India, Chennai, where he was involved in evaluating large-scale projects, conducting Techno-Economic Viability (TEV) studies, rehabilitation assessments, and industry research.

During his tenure at SBI, he independently handled over 250 TEV studies for projects spanning textiles, engineering, healthcare, renewable energy, manufacturing, hospitality, plastics, steel, and infrastructure sectors. His work supported lending decisions for projects ranging from MSMEs to large-scale industrial and institutional developments.

One of the most significant assignments in his career was the appraisal of a ₹1,500 crore, 1,500-bed hospital project promoted by Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore. He has also contributed to sectoral research initiatives, including studies on wind energy viability and machinery benchmarking for the textile industry.
